Working for Many Tears is never just a job – it’s a vocation. The rescue is a busy, rewarding and sometimes stressful environment and all our employees need to be able to work both as a strong team player and also individually. Whatever the role, we look for people with drive, compassion, determination and of course a huge love of animals. We also have a number of volunteer roles which you can view here
We are looking for a dedicated, motivated and experienced person to join our small, friendly but very busy office team at Many Tears Rescue.
You will need to have strong administrative skills and be able to work in a fast paced office environment. The role is varied and includes taking phone calls, interviewing potential adopters on the phone, managing diaries, data entry and working on our database. You will need to be able to multitask, work quickly and be able to work independently as well as be a strong team player. You will need excellent customer services skills, be able to be resilient and thrive on being busy and helping the animals in our care to find the right homes.
This is a full time role and the successful candidate will need to be flexible and prepared to work at least one weekend day and be able to be flexible in their work schedule in order for us to be able to provide holiday and sickness cover to other staff. The role is mainly office based but we will also cross train staff to work in the kennels with the dogs if necessary, in order to provide cover in the rescue from time to time. You will need experience with dogs, understand their needs and be able to share the office with several resident dogs of all sizes.
Due to the rural location of the rescue, you will need your own transport.
If you have the experience, drive, compassion and determination needed to join our team please email your CV, along with a covering letter outlining why you think you would be right for the role and what experience you have with dogs, to info@manytearsrescue.org If shortlisted we will invite you to the rescue for a trial day and any offer of employment will be subject to a successful trial period.
